Thinking about it

I’m going to paint over the Infinity painting and paint one large organic shape on each canvas. I thought it would be good to see them on a larger scale. They are painted in oils so I have to either wait until Fall when it gets cooler for the garage OR paint in the bedroom. I have an old plastic table cloth I can throw on the carpet like I did before.

My other problem is a bit concerning. I’m having to find a chair for my drawing table. The chair I was using is too high for the table. I was fiddling with pastels. not realizing I was bending my head over, when I lifted it….. oh my! My neck and right shoulder are killing me now! The chair used to be adjustable but is so old that it is frozen. I can adjust the table but I need help with getting it level.

My plan was this past week to add content to the second book, proof it, and send to editor but wound up watching my grand kids! My daughter in law had a girls week out with her sisters. Anyway, I enjoyed them but forgotten how tiring they can be. They’re good kids just so active! I’m just tired old Yaya. Lol.

Rain here for about 4 days in a row. Sun out now. I’ve been battling the Japanese beetles on my roses.

Hope all are well.

update on Infinity and little squares

The more I look at the Infinity painting the less I like it. I shouldn’t have painted that dark thick line across it. This is where idea and execution did not coalesce at all. I’ll have to wait until Autumn to fix it.[done in oils] It’ll give me time to decide what to do with it. I do like the yellow triangle and blue rectangle, maybe I can pull something from them. Anyway……….

I’ve been painting 6″ squares [15.24cm square] for the most part. They started out as Kandinsky squares and Matisse squares but I think in the end they’ll be just petite squares. I have some acrylic paper both 12″[30.48 cm.sq.] and 11″ by 7″ [28cm x 17.78cm ] and I’ve included one here. I’m starting to play with creating a bit of space in some of them them. I’m getting better at using the acrylic paint. Just have to remember to squeeze a little from the tube, can’t save it for the next day, ha!
