Second layer

Artemis 4, 3ft x 2ft, o/c, in progress, some areas need to be ‘calmed down’Artemis 2nd layer

Painting again, yay!

The weather cooled down here finally, lows in upper 40’s F or around 8 C. Spent an hour in studio. I had a 36″ by 24″ [91.44 x 61 cm] canvas so I use it to start another Artemis painting. I had done 3 a long while ago and are in new homes. It was an easy shift subject wise to get me going. I don’t usually like posting my initial layer as the painting may develop into something quite different as layers are added. But what the hell? Here it is. Have to let it dry a little to add next layer, trying to decide on colors.

FYI, this painting is based on a sculpture in the Louvre. I have a trove of photos I had taken way back when. I hope one day to visit Greece.

I was in my happy place.

Waiting for now

I’m waiting until December as that will be 6 months to hear back from the publisher. The book is finished and I am happy with it. I’m thinking of maybe some short stories using some of the characters from the book as the next writing endeavor.

The weather is starting to cool down so I’m hoping to do some painting soon. In the mean time I’ve been reading a lot.

Hope all is well with everyone.
