Being Sick and no motivation to work.

I seem to have lost all my posting from March on. Not sure why. Granted there weren’t that many but still……

I have had a bit of a health problem that has affected my painting. Its called benign  paroxysmal positional vertigo. BPPV. The important word is vertigo. I get light headed, nauseated, balance is off, wobbly,  and I never know when it will hit me, altho I’m getting better at paying attention to my body . I have some meds that help but for the last 3 months it has been miserable  I’m feeling better but its not gone so I have to be careful.

Anyway, I need to see if I can retrieve my later postings tho I am not optimistic. Such is life

update: I don’t think I published much during the past few months. I checked my photo library and there are none listed . I must have slipped into an alternate universe and thought I had painted more! I need to get crackin!

in progress brown and red anger

2nd update: I ordered some supplies from Jerry’s Artarama. They have Sennelier paints on sale. They are a bit expensive but on sale not so bad. I’ve used their paint sticks and they are wonderful.( also expensive. bought my first sticks many years ago in Paris…..sigh…..) Thinking of incorporating some of them for this last painting of my female figure. I  bought some smaller size canvases. I have a idea or 2 for the smaller format..  A move away from the human figure……

The photo is of a work that’s been on my easel for about 3-4 months. I’d sit and look at it but couldn’t pick up a brush let alone choose a color for it. If anyone has vertigo, you have my complete sympathy. There were days when I thought I’d never be able to paint again. I think for me the worse it over.( I’ve been taking antivert and Valium. The Valium works better for me but I only take it at night or when I’m not going anywhere. Its only 2 miligrams but still don’t want to cause any problems.  Then again, there’s always lyft or uber! 🙂

Everyone out there, take care of yourself. We only get one shot at this life. So make sure you hit the bull’s eye most of the time!  :0)
