Matisse 2 at top and Matisse 1 bottom. Both are 20″ square or app. 51 cm square. I’m happy with both. I like the energy in #2, adding the diagonal lines helped facilitate that. I get a sense that all the little shapes are going to fly off somewhere. Matisse 1 is more about color and shape. I hope the Matisse reference is obvious. I see these [again] as a larger canvas. Yes, the top one is crooked both still very wet.
So, everyone says self publishing is easy with Kindle. HA! I typed the book like I would have typed a long research paper. It is the only way I know. I also learned word processing from an MS DOS [Lotus Works] program so I was used to doing alignments and spacing manually. Well, that ain’t good apparently. The book was all wonky and I had NO idea. A very kind writer took pity on me. She saw what was going on and I spent the week-end deleting all the “formatting” I did. I thought I was doing good. Ha. Ha. I looked at You Tube videos which just confused me more. Some said do this others said don’t do that! I should do a tutorial for Office 2019 as I have used up until now the 2003 version [hey, I got it when I was teaching . It was cheap,$10! it served its purpose well. I bought a laptop for writing and it didn’t have a DVD slot so I had to get a new version!] Anyway, tutorials help somewhat but I learn mostly by hunting and pecking or someone showing me, like being over my shoulder. Sigh, technology…… so damn frustrating.
UPDATE: My sister found the necessary info in the KDP part of Amazon. She emailed the link to me. How I missed the formatting directions I don’t know. DUH! I am now going thru the book indenting paragraphs, deleting page numbers, etc.etc. Time consuming and tedious. I just hope the hell I’m doing things right, lol. Well, at least, I know what to do for the next book, hahaha! This is the link on how to format with Word for Kindle. there is also a KindleCreate that actually may be easier to do, dunno. I just took the advice of different writers saying “just write”. I should have investigated more but blindly followed others. Lesson learned. https://kdp.amazon.com/en_US/help/topic/G200645680
