Trying to decide what to do next. The 2 paintings in previous post were actually just to get the painting juices flowing but I keep thinking I need to do something else, subject wise. Been seeing a lot of posts of landscapes online. I may go back to the trees I was doing; that is the closest I’ve gotten to a landscape. Maybe something completely non objective. Maybe shapes done in my gestural, expressive way. May be a self portrait. All of the above fit into my narrative of the process of painting so………. large sigh
Artemis 4 and 5
October 12, 2022 — JanArtemis 5 and 4 hanging up in my garage studio, waiting to dry. I painted these from memory. They are both 3ft x 2ft or [91.44 x 61 cm] .Not the best of photographs, I see some shadows on 4. I got a couple of halogen flood lights so the color is close to actual. It finally cooled down here so that I could paint. I have one more canvas to do. I’m thinking some cooler colors. [they are hanging off kilter!]
