the 2 on the left I am calling deKooning for the top and Pollock for the bottom. Not sure if they will become larger paintings. I am basing the “titles” on the brushwork. Both are 12″ square.

I’m calling this series Becoming and given each 12″ square a number. the 24″ square will have a title. I have a 36″ square canvas I haven’t started yet. Hope to do larger canvases. Smaller squares are studies. I have a few left to do of those. Gesture and color becoming something else: angels, human figures, classical Greek figures, geometric arrangements. Originally, I was going to use the same color background but realized I needed to explore other colors as well. They needed some variety.
